Grew up in Gastonia and continues to live in Gaston County. Attended the local schools in Gastonia. Married with wife of 56 years, 2 daughters and 3 grandsons. Interest in GRS was peaked by my only sibling having special needs. So my familiarity with the needs of residents served by GRS began at an early age of my life. A career in the vending and food service industry provided an opportunity to participate in the North Carolina Vending Association, NCVA, serving as Secretary/Treasurer, Vice President and President and recognized as Vendor of the Year in 2003. Involvement in Atlantic Coast Exposition, ACE, another vending association group comprised of vending companies from Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina serving on the Board of Directors and on various committees and in 2015 being recognized with a Lifetime Achievement award for the many years of involvement in the vending industry. Being involved with GRS for more than twelve years and continuing to serve on the Board of Directors as a committee member and as Vice Chairman and now Chairman of the Board.
